I’ve been playing with the SmoothCam filter that comes with Final Cut 6.

This is a hand-held shot (leaning against a wall) sped up twenty times for a time lapse effect. I could have got SmoothCam to make the shot rock-solid, but I liked the organic way the shot pans.

    Yes! Lovely. That smoothcam filter is really handy, although it’s a shame that, for speed, you have to make reference quicktimes if your source clip is long. I hope they allow partial smoothcam renders that respond to in and out points in future versions. Great new feature ‘though.
